In 4-quart saucepan or medium Dutch oven, cook ground beef, onion, garlic, chili powder, cumin, chipotle chile and adobo sauce over medium-high heat 5 to 7 minutes or until beef is thoroughly cooked. Add all remaining ingredients; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover. Simmer 15 minutes.
Serving Suggestions: Serve with cilantro, avocado and sour cream, if desired.
For Southwestern Loaded Potatoes, cut baked potatoes in half and mash the insides. Top with a scoop of the chili, shredded cheese, sour cream and chopped green onions.
Serve this smoky chili as a dip for tortilla chips.
Tip: For more smoky flavor, substitute 1 to 2 teaspoons chipotle chili powder for the regular chili powder. The heat level is much greater than the regular chili powder, so use less, until you reach your favorite heat level.
