Ingredients

  • 6 slices bacon, chopped
  • 3/4 cup chopped red onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped red or green bell pepper
  • 2 (15oz) cans S&W® Pinquito Beans with Onion & Cumin (do not drain)
  • 1 (15oz) can S&W® Black Beans (drained, rinsed)
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Ingredients

  • 6 slices bacon, chopped

Directions

In 12-inch skillet or 3-quart saucepan, cook bacon over medium-high heat 6 to 8 minutes, until crisp. Remove bacon and drain on paper towel, leaving 2 tablespoons of the drippings in the skillet. Add onion and chopped pepper to skillet; cook over medium heat, 4 to 5 minutes, until crisp tender. Stir in remaining ingredients and cooked bacon. Bring to a boil; reduce heat to low and simmer 20 minutes.

Serving Suggestion: This a quick and tasty bean side dish that would be wonderful served with chicken or pork
